Making The Space Your Own

Congratulations! You found your new apartment or dorm! First you have to move in, and that’s right up our alley here at Parma Movers, Inc. so give us a call, we’re here to help! However, the main focus right now is the next step – decorating! Although we can’t help with that part we’d still love to give you some ideas. The key here is making the space your own without losing your security deposit. So how do you decorate your space this way? Simple, check out our tips!

Decorate the walls. By using command strips and their line of products, you can add pictures and like items to your new space without the damage caused by nails.decorate3

Add some color. This can be done without paint through the use of colorful, fun accessories such as curtains, pillows, blankets, rugs, etc.

Add some light. If you don’t like the lighting then look into some floor and table lamps. This will create additional lighting and decor. Can’t find a lampshade you like? Check out the awesome Pinterest Pin we found on creating your own!

Update fixtures. Spruce up the cabinets with your own fixtures. It is easy to change out the knobs and handles to your liking. Just don’t forget to keep the originals in a safe place so you can change them back before you move out.

Protect floors. Place pieces of felt on the bottom of your furniture to allow for easier movement without damaging the floors.

Following these tips can help make your space your own without losing your security deposit. Give us a call for more information!
